Kristen Mitchell


Kristen Mitchell is an American landscape artist based in the Wasatch Mountains in Utah. She was born in Chenango County in upstate New York. She earned a Bachelor of Fine art from Cornell University's College of Art, Architecture and Planning in 2001. Her work explores iconic representations of non-iconic natural. Kristen was awarded a Kimball Art Festival Best In Show for Drawing in 2018. She is an active supporter and producer of public art and she served two terms as chair for the Summit County Public Art Board, working to produce projects such as Inside Out Park City, The View From My Door and How We Move. She was a juror for the Utah Film Festival and the Summit Arts Showcase and presented at the Project ABC Summit where 80 community leaders came together to plan for the future of Arts and Culture in Park City and Summit County.
